Overview

This isn’t just a road trip; it’s a deep dive into the most biodiverse corners of East Africa. From the canopy-dwelling chimpanzees of Kibale to the mountain giants of the Bwindi/Mgahinga highlands, this journey covers the “Big Game” of the savannah and the “Great Apes” of the forest.

Traveling by road offers the most authentic Ugandan experience—watching the landscape shift from bustling markets and tea estates to misty volcanic peaks.

Note: Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are highly competitive. We recommend booking at least 6
months in advance to secure your spot in the forest.
Gorilla permits
Mgahinga/Bwindi – USD 800 FNR
EA FR – USD700
Chimpanzee trekking
FNR- USD250
Optional: Chimp Habituation experience (USD50 extra pp.)
