Grazers’ Primal paths to the savannah

Your Grazers African Adventures guide picks you up for a journey North. We kick things off with a foot safari at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to see southern white rhinos in the wild. After lunch, we enter the park and head straight to the Top of the Falls. Feel the ground vibrate as the entire Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gorge. It’s loud, it’s misty, and it’s magnificent.

Rise with the sun. The Buligi tracks are prime territory for lions, leopards, elephants, and the towering Rothschild giraffes. In the afternoon, we trade the 4x4 for a boat. We’ll cruise upstream, passing pods of hippos and massive Nile crocodiles, arriving at the "Devil's Cauldron" for a view of the falls that will leave your camera roll full and your jaw dropped.

We head toward the Nile Delta, where the river enters Lake Albert. This is a birder’s paradise and the best spot to find the prehistoric-looking Shoebill Stork. In the afternoon, we shift gears to the lush Budongo Forest. We’ll trek under the ancient mahogany trees to find our cousins, the chimpanzees, along with a variety of colorful monkeys and birds.

Enjoy one last golden sunrise over the Albertine Rift. We’ll enjoy a relaxed morning game drive as we exit the park, stopping for a local lunch on our way back to the city. You’ll return with dust on your boots and stories that will last a lifetime
